AI Integration in Real Classrooms
Our work is grounded in classroom practice, curriculum design and assessment. At ICS Addis, this has included running an AI Pilot Program in the 2025-26 academic year, designing and implementing professional learning sessions for all Secondary Staff and all Middle School students, as well as vertically aligning AI expectations with the High School teams.

Experiential Learning

Angola
A Guinness World Record-setting 1,300km expedition along Angola’s longest river that combined exploration, humanitarian fundraising, storytelling and education. The expedition raised US$25,000 for The HALO Trust and has subsequently been used by students as the focus of PYP Exhibition and MYP Personal Project work.
Madagascar
A world-first source-to-sea kayaking expedition along Madagascar’s longest river, the Mangoky. This project combined exploration with education and community engagement. The project included classroom push-ins, school talks and opportunities to connect expedition experience with geography, culture, service learning and inquiry.
These projects demonstrate how authentic experiences can become powerful vehicles for inquiry, interdisciplinary learning and student agency.
